In recent weeks, my brother Roy O’Connell and I, Brendan Beeken, have found ourselves in the headlines – and for good reason! Together, we’ve launched Partners Real Estate, a dynamic new venture that has already made waves with five estate agency acquisitions in just 10 weeks.
The end of 2024 was a whirlwind, setting the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating 2025.
With so much happening so fast, I wanted to take a moment to share a little more about us – the brothers behind Partners Real Estate.
The Bond of Brothers
Roy and I grew up in Cheltenham, attending Tewkesbury Comprehensive before our careers took us on separate paths. But one thing always connected us: a shared passion for real estate and an enduring dream of working together. That dream has now become reality with Partners Real Estate.
In just a matter of weeks, we’ve built a strong brand with a clear vision. We’ve dedicated ourselves to acquiring and establishing offices across the UK, including London and Gloucester, as well as Dubai and multiple locations on the Isle of Man.
It’s been a nonstop adventure, and one that’s brought us closer together – not just as business partners but as brothers.
Through this journey, we’ve also carved out time to enjoy our mutual love of motorsport and create cherished moments with our families. Between us, we have nine children and seven dogs – a lively bunch that keeps us grounded and inspired.
As we charge into Q1 of 2025, we’re filled with excitement for the opportunities ahead, both for us personally and for the entire Partners Real Estate team.
Meet Brendan
After growing up in Cheltenham, I moved to the Isle of Man in 1997 to join an international bank. My career began in financial services, spanning banking and life assurance, but my entrepreneurial spirit soon led me to forge my own path.
Over the years, I’ve founded and led successful businesses across industries as diverse as finance and motorsport.
What drives me is the thrill of transformation – turning an idea into reality, watching a vision take shape and thrive.
Beyond business, I’ve had the privilege of serving as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in the Isle of Man and supporting various charities, both locally and globally. Philanthropy remains a cornerstone of my personal and professional life.
Meet Roy
Roy’s journey in real estate began in 1993 in Cheltenham, where he honed his craft with various agencies. Rising through the ranks from sales negotiator to branch manager, Roy eventually realised his dream of entrepreneurship, founding Movearound, a real estate agency that later evolved into O’Connell Property Agents.
Alongside his wife Faye, Roy built a thriving business that served Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, and Gloucestershire. In late 2024, O’Connell Property Agents officially became part of Partners Real Estate, marking the next chapter in Roy’s incredible career.
